Wayne Root: Get to Work NOW Finding College Football Surprise Teams

If you've been paying attention to your local newsstand, bookstore, or grocery store, you've probably noticed that the college football annuals are already out. Many of them anyway. Even though we're still more than two months away from game should already be at work trying to find surprise teams in the 2015 college football season.

I can assure you that THE KING OF UPSETS is already doing that! I was actually on the case before those publications came out. I'm always a few steps ahead of the curve! But, even if you don't have my vast resources in terms of connections and databases, you can put those newsstand publications to good use as you prepare for the season.

Now, I'm not going to tell you in a web article who my surprise teams are likely to be. I want to protect against the market for as long as possible. I won't tip my hand early. Here are strategies YOU should use to prepare. Work hard and smart, and you'll probably uncover many of the same teams I'm looking to support.

*First, look for teams in the 5-8 win range who return a lot of starters, return a decent experienced quarterback, or who may have suffered through a lot of injuries last season in a way that made the program look worse than it really was. This is your best percentage strike point for finding the most profitable surprises. Teams like this usually don't get much media hype. And, if they start out well, it can take a month or more for the market to catch up to reality. You can score upsets vs. bigger name programs, and blowout victories as small favorites if you play your cards right.

Make a chart right now showing:
Every team that won between 5-8 games
How many starters they return
The performance of their projected starting quarterback

This won't take too long...and you'll learn a lot just from this simple exercise. Importantly, you'll learn who to stay away from! Teams in this "mediocre" range who DON'T return a lot of starters or who DON'T return a decent quarterback are likely to fall apart. Remember that the mainstream media has become obsessed with the National Championship picture. Making money as a bettor involves teams who aren't on that radar.

*Second, look at teams who won 4 games or less last year who made a coaching change. Often "surprise" teams arrive after a horrible coach is replaced by a young up-and-comer who knows what he's going. This type of team doesn't necessarily rise up and earn a bowl bid right away. But, they're likely to offer pointspread value as underdogs, and definitely have upset potential vs. vulnerable opposition.

Make a list showing:
All teams who won 4 games or less last year
Then circle those who replaced their coaches
For those circled teams, track returning starter and returning quarterback information

This will give you a handful of teams who have a real chance to be serious moneymakers in September and October. Also, that list could help you NEXT season (2016) when the up-and-coming coach has had a chance to provide an even great impact to the program. There are coaches I've won with for YEARS because I'm paying attention to this angle.

What about surprises up at the top of the charts? Teams who might make a run this year at the National Championship? I'll talk more about that as we get deeper into the summer. The problem with focusing too much on top 15 powers is that you end up circling teams who are going to be favored the vast majority of the time anyway. I want to win underdog bets all season long...not just in postseason action in January!

If you haven't already done so...head to your local newsstand and purchase the most respected college football publications. For most of you, that will add up to a cost that's smaller than your usual bet size. A wise investment indeed. You have time now to prepare. Heck, here in Las Vegas it's going to be well over 100 degrees every day this week. Who wants to go outside in that? Stay inside and prepare for college football.

Of course...the summer is also great for BUILDING BANKROLL with daily baseball winners. If you don't want to handicap the bases, let me do the work while you make the money! Purchase my BEST BETS right here at the website with your credit card. If you have any questions about which of my long term programs best suits your individual needs, please talk to my representative in the office at 1-877-ROOT-WINS during normal business hours. (And, it's never too early to talk about early bird football packages!)

It's a Las Vegas truism that money comes to those who are willing to work for it. There's no better example of that than ME. Do the work...and you'll win just like WAYNE ALLYN ROOT!
