WHY WE WILL CONTINUE TO "GO AGAINST" THE DENVER BRONCOS
by Wayne Allyn Root
First of all, I'm not declaring every week a "bet agains"t week with the Denver Broncos. But, this is fair warning that during the regular season in a quarterback league, there will be plenty of opportunities to get back monies lost last week as Denver ran a 77 yard touchdown back to defeat Oakland in miracle form. Peyton Manning was "all-everything" just 2 years ago in 2013. He threw for over 5500 yards and over 50 touchdowns. In 2014, he dropped to number 2 in touchdowns thrown and had 38 to Andrew Luck's 40. In 2015, 57% of all points scored by Denver have come from their defense and kicking game. Their offense is stagnant. Their offensive line stinks. CJ Anderson can not run the ball. Opposing teams can now "stack the box" and bring everyone up. Manning cannot throw underneath the coverage as that takes a quick wrist flick; something only young, strong arms are capable of throwing. He actually can throw it deep much easier since that requires more of a wind up but will pay a huge price as interceptions will mount with a high wobbly pass. This is currently problematic and will compound as the seasons wears on him and the weather turns cold. There will be many betting opportunities to make money as a Denver "go against" team. I will be sure to keep all the Root faithful alerted to the games that offer a defense with pressure, colder weather and great point spread value.
